What Is Moonflower All About?

Moonflower Farm was born from the marriage of two of our great passions;  Gardening and Art.

We have owned our little one acre property in Egremont Massachusetts (the next town over from where we both grew up) for approximately 17 years now. Over the course of these years,  it and we have grown and changed in many ways, as things and people tend to do...

​​

The changes around here have not only been with our landscaping, ( although our landscaping has CERTAINLY been designed, planted, dug up, redesigned, re-planted and redesigned again..)  but also changes in the growth of our family, changes in employment, the loss and gain of family pets, and never-ending DIY projects.

​

Through the seasons of life thus far, we have pleasantly realized that time and time again we are the happiest when we are involved in our gardens. Whether its sitting outside after work together discussing new plantings, watering our sunflowers after a dry spell, harvesting multitudes of cucumbers to feed our sons cucumber addiction from the veggie garden, watching our daughter transplant seedings of special flowers she wanted to grow this year, or putting together some bouquets of flowers for our neighbors.

We LOVE IT ALL.

When 2020 hit, and the world hit "Pause" it was a time to take stock of everything that was important to us, and we began looking closely about how we had been living our life up until this point.  Ya know, those fun, light and easy reflections... All roads led back to our gardens. 

The love of Mother Nature, and the pride knowing that a lot of what we had for dinner that night was produced by our garden is very special.

In the depths of the Winter Season of 2020-2021 with the pandemic raging, we felt the need to have that joy and creativity, but were well past the gardening season here in Northeast New England. 

This is how our flower arrangements began....

There is no greater feeling than brightening someone's day with something as simple as flowers. It has been such an amazing journey and this is just the beginning! We love that with every arrangement that's done, there is a story.

The Mom whos neighbor has been babysitting her son, but wont take a payment.

​​

 The daughter who hasn't seen her parents since the start of quarantine. 

​​

The family member who has been having some health issues. 

​​

The husband who wants to let his wife know how much he appreciates her. 

​

The stories go on and on and on.... 

​​

It has become our extreme pleasure to help others spread kindness, joy and love through flowers and we look forward to the future!
